Description

SolarGold pearl gold paint in a 400 ml spray can – ideal as a standalone colour or as a basecoat for Candy paints.
This is a solvent-based 1K basecoat paint (BC / BCB). We fill our spray cans with the same basecoat material that we also supply to professional paint shops in tins.

The spray can is equipped with a 360° adjustable flat spray nozzle with an “I”-shaped spray pattern for precise and even application. Stable internal pressure makes the spray easy to use and helps achieve an even result, also on more demanding projects.

How to use SolarGold Pearl Gold

SolarGold is a gold pearl basecoat with a medium-coarse pearl grain of approx. 10–60 microns. It can be used in two ways:

  • As a standalone colour – after clear coating, it creates a warm golden effect with a fine metallic-pearl sparkle.
  • As a basecoat for Candy paints – it creates a metallic base that enhances the brightness and glow of the transparent Candy layer.

How to use the paint

SolarGold pearl gold spray paint can be used in two ways: as a gold pearl basecoat for selected Candy paints or as a standalone warm gold pearl colour finished with a final clear coat. When used under suitable Candy shades, SolarGold reflects light through the transparent Candy layer and creates a warm metallic depth. It works especially well under Candy colours such as red, yellow and orange.

Before painting: Surface preparation

Sand, clean and degrease the surface thoroughly before applying the paint system.

How to prepare the surface

1. SolarGold layer

Apply 2–3 thin coats using smooth cross-coat movements. Keep the spray can vertical during application.

Coverage: approx. 1 m² per 400 ml spray can

2A. Candy paint

For a warm Candy effect, apply a suitable transparent Candy paint over the flashed-off SolarGold layer.

2B. Clear coat

If SolarGold is used as the final gold pearl colour, protect it with a clear coat and choose the final finish.

Tip: SolarGold is best suited as a Candy basecoat for warm transparent shades such as red, yellow and orange. For other Candy colours, always test the combination first, as the gold base can significantly change the final shade.
