Description

Eye-catching silver holographic glitter in a 400 ml spray can.
Solvent-based 1K Basecoat (BCB). Our spray cans contain the same professional basecoat formulation that we also supply to paint shops in tins.

The 360° adjustable nozzle produces a flat “I”-shaped fan spray pattern for precise and even application. Consistent pressure makes the spray easy to control, even on more demanding projects.

Holographic glitter is applied as a three-step paint system: first a coloured basecoat – we recommend a black basecoat, as shown in the product photos and videos – followed by the holographic glitter layer and finally a clear topcoat to seal and protect the surface while enhancing the depth and shine.

How Does the Holographic Effect Work?

A blend of fine glitter flakes measuring approximately 100 µm (1/256") creates striking holographic rainbow reflections under direct light, including green, blue, red and yellow. Without direct light, the surface appears subtly silver and adds visual depth to the finished paintwork.

How to use the paint

Holographic Glitter Spray is applied as a three-step paint system over a properly prepared surface: black BC basecoat, holographic glitter effect layer and a final clear coat. The black basecoat creates strong contrast and makes the silver or gold glitter and its rainbow reflections clearly visible.

1. Surface preparation

Sand, clean and thoroughly degrease the surface. Remove corrosion where necessary and repair any scratches or imperfections before painting.

2. Black basecoat

Apply 2–3 thin coats to create a uniform matte black surface without sand-through spots. Allow approx. 5–10 minutes flash-off time between coats.

3. Holographic glitter effect

Apply 2–3 very light coats using smooth, overlapping passes. Keep the spray can vertical and distribute the glitter evenly across the entire surface.

Coverage: up to approx. 1 m² per 400 ml spray can

4. Clear coat

After the holographic glitter layer has fully flashed off, apply a suitable clear coat according to the product TDS. A high-quality 2K gloss clear coat provides maximum durability, depth and brilliance.

Choose a clear coat

  • Application temperature: spray can, surface and surroundings at 20–25 °C
  • Preparation: shake the spray can thoroughly for at least 2 minutes
  • Glitter coats: usually 2–3 very light coats
  • Flash-off: approx. 10 minutes between coats and approx. 40 minutes after the final coat
  • Spray position: always keep the spray can vertical during application

Tip: Always make a test spray on a sample panel before painting the final part. Check the finish both in shade and in direct sunlight, as the holographic rainbow reflections become most visible under strong direct light.
