SIA P1000 Sanding Paper – for Wet Sanding (230 × 280 mm)
Premium Siawat sanding paper with P1000 grit and a sheet size of 230 × 280 mm for wet and dry sanding. Suitable for fine matting of clear coat before polishing or recoating, removing dust nibs (denibbing) and lightly reducing orange peel. Ideal as an intermediate step before P1200–P1500–P2000. Note: P1000 is a fine sanding step – for deeper defects, start with a coarser grit such as P800 and refine with P1200–P1500.
Advice & tips for wet sanding
- Before use, soak the paper for 5–10 minutes in water. A few drops of car shampoo can reduce friction.
- Sand with light pressure using crosswise movements; wipe and rinse the surface regularly during work.
- For flat areas, use a sanding block or soft interface for better control of the surface level.
- Recommended sequence: P800 → P1000 → P1200 → P1500 → P2000/3000, depending on the system and final goal.
- Before polishing, finish at least with P1500, ideally P2000+ for faster polishing.
