Acrylic BC basecoat Candy Midnight Blue – transparent dark blue in a 400 ml spray can.
Solvent-based paint of the Basecoat 1K (BCB) type. Our spray cans are filled with the same basecoat that we also supply to paint shops in tins.
Candy Midnight Blue has high colour strength and quickly gains saturation and depth as additional coats are applied. After just 3 thin coats, it creates a visibly dark blue shade. The final darkness depends on the number and thickness of the applied coats.
Candy is a three-step paint system that requires a silver metallic or pearlescent basecoat, followed by the Candy effect layer and finally a clear coat for gloss and UV protection.
The spray can is fitted with a 360° adjustable nozzle with a flat “I”-shaped spray pattern for precise and even application. Stable pressure makes the spray easier to control, even on more demanding projects.
How Candy paints work
Candy paints are transparent effect colours. The final appearance is created by the combination of a metallic basecoat and the number of Candy coats applied. Each additional coat increases colour saturation and darkens the final shade. Midnight Blue darkens relatively quickly as the coats build up and appears visibly dark blue after just 3 thin coats.
Candy paint itself does not contain metallic or pearlescent particles – the sparkle, reflections and visual depth come from the metallic basecoat underneath.
