Black BC Base – 400 ml Spray

Black 1K basecoat paint (Basecoat-BC), solvent-based, designed as a pure base coat for special effect paints. It is not a primer or filler, not intended for sanding and not suitable for levelling surface imperfections. Apply only to surfaces that have already been properly prepared – primed or filled, sanded, cleaned and dust-free.

Each spray can is equipped with a 360° adjustable flat spray nozzle with an “I”-shaped spray pattern, allowing precise and even application. The stable internal pressure helps achieve a clean spray result, even on more demanding areas.

Use & benefits

• Perfect black base coat for effect paints: Flip-Flop / Chameleon paints, Pearl effect paints, Candy Pearl, Glitter paints and Hologram effect paints
• Ideal for DIY projects such as bicycles, helmets, scooters and similar parts
• Coverage: approx. 1 m² or around 2 alloy wheels up to 16"
• Also available as an undiluted liquid version for spray guns from 100 ml: basecoat colours for spray gun

Important notes

• Do not use as a primer or filler. For sensitive substrates such as plastic, use a suitable primer or filler first and prepare the surface correctly.
• Not intended for sanding. If needed, allow the paint to dry fully, lightly matt the surface and apply another thin mist coat.
• When spraying, always keep the can upright to avoid runs or dripping. Apply several thin cross coats with flash-off time between coats.
• For transparent Candy paints: a silver metallic or pearl base coat is required. This black BC base is not intended for transparent Candy colours.
• Recommended system build-up: BC base coat → effect paint → final 2K clear coat for a durable finish.

Suitable substrates

Metal, plastic and wood – only on surfaces that have already been primed or filled, sanded and properly cleaned.
