Black 1K Basecoat 100 ml for Spray Gun, base coat for effect paints, PMcolours

Black 1K BC basecoat on a solvent base for application with a spray gun. It creates a uniform matte black base coat that allows effect paints such as Flip-Flop, Candy Pearl, Pearl effect paints and Hologram effect paints to show their full depth and reflections. It is not a primer or filler and is not intended for sanding – it is used only as a colour basecoat on a properly prepared surface that has been primed or filled, sanded matte and degreased.

Properties & benefits

• Deep black, uniform base coat for effect paints
• No filling properties, not intended for sanding and does not level surface imperfections
• Recommended spray gun type: LVMP (RP), nozzle size approx. 1.3–1.4 mm
• Apply in 2–3 very thin coats using a cross-coat technique
• Matte finish – followed by the effect paint layer and finally clear coat

Note: BC basecoat does not replace primer or filler. Apply at 18–25 °C in a clean, dust-free environment. For exact thinning ratios and flash-off times, please follow the technical data sheet.
