• Candy – a transparent effect paint. The final shade and depth are created by the silver metallic or pearl base coat and the number of Candy coats. Every additional coat makes the shade darker.
• Chameleon – a flip-flop effect that changes colour depending on the viewing angle and light. The strongest effect is achieved over a deep black matt base coat.
• Ghost Pearl – a subtle pearl effect applied over a white matt base coat. The white base remains dominant in the shade, while the pearl effect becomes visible in sunlight or direct light.

All effect paints must be protected with a clear coat. We recommend a high-quality 2K clear coat.

• 400 ml spray can – ideal for small and medium-sized parts. No compressor or spray gun is required.
• Paint for a spray gun – suitable for larger surfaces and projects where maximum uniformity and precisely controlled application are important.

No. Candy is transparent. Its depth, shade and brightness are created by the silver base coat and the number of Candy coats applied.

Yes. All effect paints – Candy, Chameleon, Ghost Pearl, Pearl, Hologram and Glitter – must be coated with a clear coat, preferably a high-quality 2K clear coat. It protects the paint system and provides the desired gloss.

Candy requires a silver metallic or pearl base coat that reflects light and creates the depth of the effect. The base must be even, clean and matt or properly sanded. Always follow the instructions on the relevant product page.

For the strongest flip-flop effect, use an even, deep black matt base coat.

Candy usually requires 3 or more very thin coats. Every additional coat makes the shade darker and allows less light to reach the silver base coat. Respect the flash-off times and always carry out a test spray before starting the main project. Chameleon and Ghost Pearl usually require 2–3 thin coats; the product-specific instructions always take priority.

Yes. The plastic must be thoroughly cleaned, sanded and prepared with a suitable plastic adhesion promoter. Then apply the prescribed base coat, the effect paint and finally the clear coat.

Resistance depends mainly on the 2K clear coat, its full curing and the complete paint system. Effect paints alone are not a petrol- or chemical-resistant final coating. Use a suitable clear coat according to the manufacturer’s instructions and carry out a compatibility test where chemical exposure is expected.

Our effect paints are decorative coatings suitable for temperatures up to approximately 100 °C. Permanently hot components, especially exhaust parts, require a dedicated heat-resistant paint system.

Products are packed in sturdy shipping boxes with suitable protective filling. Spray cans, paints and thinners are secured to reduce movement and protect them during transport. If the parcel arrives visibly damaged, please document the condition with photographs and contact us as soon as possible.

• Candy for a spray gun: approximately 0.6 m² per 100 ml with 3 thin coats. Additional coats reduce the coverage.
• 400 ml Candy spray: approximately 0.9 m², depending on the shade and number of coats required.
• Ghost Pearl/Chameleon for a spray gun: approximately 0.9 m² per 100 ml with 2–3 very thin coats.
• 400 ml Ghost Pearl/Chameleon spray: approximately 1.0 m².

Actual coverage depends on the shape of the object, substrate, shade and application technique. Carry out a test spray before starting a larger project.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place at approximately 5–25 °C and keep the container tightly closed. Paint for a spray gun should only be diluted immediately before use. For best results, use the product within 6 months and use diluted paint as soon as possible.

We ship exclusively with GLS. Depending on availability in the destination country, delivery may be made to an address, a GLS ParcelShop or a GLS Parcel Locker/Box. After dispatch, you will receive a tracking email.

Estimated GLS transit times are approximately 2–8 business days from the day the parcel is handed over to GLS, depending on the destination country. The detailed estimate for each country is shown on our Shipping & Payment page. Transit times are indicative and may be extended by weekends, public holidays, remote-area delivery or circumstances outside the carrier’s control.

The statutory right of withdrawal applies during the first 14 days. From the 15th to the 30th day, we additionally accept voluntary returns provided that the goods are unused, unopened, complete and suitable for resale as new.

First email us at info@pmcolours.eu with your order number and the items you wish to return. We will check your order and send you a prepaid GLS return label by email.

1. Send the return request by email.
2. Print the prepaid GLS return label we send you.
3. Pack the goods securely, attach the label and hand the parcel in at a GLS ParcelShop.

We cover the direct return costs only when the GLS return label is used. You do not have to provide a reason when exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.

Yes. We provide Safety Data Sheets in English for all relevant products. They are available on the relevant product page under “Documents to download”. We can also send them by email on request.

Ensure very good ventilation and work, where possible, at 20–25 °C and low humidity. Wear suitable respiratory protection for organic solvents, protective gloves and safety glasses. Always follow the product label, Safety Data Sheet and application instructions.

Colour display varies depending on the screen, brightness and colour profile. Effect paints also change with the light, viewing angle, base coat and number of coats. Always carry out a test spray before starting the main project.

Our effect paints are manufactured and filled in the Czech Republic. As an EU manufacturer, we operate under European quality and safety requirements. “Made in the Czech Republic” represents precise formulations and controlled production at PMcolours.
